These popular sessions are free to all MTA members. We don't always get to practise our night navigation skills, so these peer sessions are great opportunities to refresh and enhance your skills. These are particularly useful if you are preparing for an Mountain Training walking qualification assessment (LLA, HML or ML) or if it’s been a while since you practised your skills.
There may be a broad outline of the evening but it’s really up to everyone to say what they’d like to do and to make a contribution.
In the past we’ve had folk preparing for HML working alongside experienced IMLs. We’ll start with a coffee and a chat, make a plan and take it from there.
There will be at least one ML on hand to ensure that everyone stays safe, however this is a peer led event and all those attending will be part of the decision making process.
If you have any questions then do feel free to contact Mike Griffiths at MGOutdoors@hotmail.com or via Facebook.
If you book please commit to attending, if you are unable to attend please cancel your space as soon as possible to enable others to book and if something comes up last minute, be curtious and get in touch to let us know. Thank you
