WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES

The day will start with a discussion on the typical aspects of navigation that clients struggle to learn. We will discuss ways to make your teaching clearer, and a focused pathway and progression for teaching navigation at all levels.

The workshop will focus on giving valuable pointers for those preparing for assessment, as well those who already hold a MT walking award and who want to teach navigation, or want to improve their approach to teaching this subject.

EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED

Personal walking kit. OS Explorer OL5. Compass.

WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS

Graham Uney has been teaching navigation since 1996. He is a provider of LL, HML and ML training and assessment courses, and was until recently a long-established provider for the National Navigation Award Scheme courses at all levels, including their Tutor Award.
