This IRATA course has been organised for AMI members. It will include delivery of the full IRATA level 1 course alongside AMI piers allowing additional content to be added to the normal level 1 course.
IRATA training and assessment would be beneficial to any members operating in areas which may be considered beyond the scope of the MCI award, for example route setting, film and tv safety work, ropes course & climbing wall inspection/maintenance, rigging from artificial structures and delivering rescue training. In addition it would open up potential employment opportunities in rope access.
The IRATA course will be delivered by one of Heightworks IRATA Level 3 Instructors and Will Kilner AMI Member and IRATA trainer. Will works across a range of roles in adventure activities and industrial work at height.
IRATA level 1 is internationally recognised and candidates will complete 4 days of training then attend a 1 day assessment.
The course will be run in Wolverhampton. Free overnight parking may be available for campervans onsite by prior arrangement. There are several nearby reasonably priced hotel and Airbnb options.
