Award Description
The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
This course will run on the stunning Gower peninsular, Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with more photogenic views than you can shake a map and compass at! It is accessed easily from the M4 at Swansea and has a wide range of accommodation options available close by. The area is blessed with a variety of terrain types from woods and moors to farmland and the Wales Coast Path, giving us an ideal location to help you learn the skills and knowledge required by a Lowland Leader.
