Award Description
The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
This 2 day Lowland Leader training course is a non-residential event, one day will be in the Thetford Forest area, Suffolk and the Castle Acre area, Norfolk. There will be a VC meeting in the weeks leading up to the practical.
Each day will start at 08.30 hrs
A pre-course VC meetings will take place via "Zoom" and start at 19.45 hrs, they is likely to be on Wednesday 12 October
The pre-course brief will include details of the programme, expectations, the Award, DLOG and Q&A session.

There is a requirement to have Mountain Training membership, register for the scheme and evidence a minimum of 10 days waliking in a variety of lowland environments.
