Award Description
The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
About
The course will concentrate on the core areas of the Lowland Leader training course syllabus and will develop your skills in acurate & safe movement through woodland, farmland and hills. We will concentrate on the skills of navigation, running productive and meaningful sessions for groups, managing groups, leadership, and safe movement in lowland country.
All aspects of equipment and it's use will feature as well as looking at Group management. All equipment can be provided though having some some knowledge of the use of map and compass is very helpful.
The course will take place in the rolling Shropshire countryside and hills.
