A full day workshop delivered by Matt Brown IML of Bluestone Outdoors, designed for UK & Overseas Mountain Leaders/Supervisiors and those leading long-distance treks. The workshop gives individuals essential knowledge/skills & useful tools for managing & leading teams/groups within the specific context of promoting effective, safe leadership & communication. Suitable for prospective, new and established leaders who wish to develop their skills. The workshop is applicable to both adult and youth expeditions. It includes interactive sessions, case studies and scenario based examples, along with up-to-date national developments. Includes insight into expedition companies, and what they look for when employing leaders.

Mostly held indoors. Appropriate clothing for outdoor session, pen & note book

WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS
Matt is an IML, adventurer & experienced independent consultant/trainer with over 30 years experience. Matt currently runs Bluestone Outdoors, a small outdoor training & guiding service. He has been leading and working on expeditions worldwide since the 1980's. He currently works with a number of leadership & performance consulting businesses across the UK.
Matt has led expeditions to 5 of the 7 Worlds Continents including high altitude trekking in excess of 6000m. He is about to embark on an Arctic Winter Expedition.
