A fun learning environment to practice your poor visibility navigation skills.
We will take turns to navigate ourselves around parts of the Pentlands.
We will meet in Threipmuir Car Park and begin our practicisng as we leave the car park and head for the hills.
Pacing, Bearings, Aspect of Slope, Timings, Spurs, Reentrants - all things that can be put to good use.
To get the most out of this workshop you will have ideally attended a MT training course or already have some experience.
This event is for MTA members only
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
As with any hill/mountain environemnt, The Pentland Hills can be a challenging environment in poor weather so please dress appropriately. If you are unsure what kit you need then please get in touch.
Before we leave the car park we will make sure we have sufficient shelter, first aid kits etc
CATERING/FOOD
If you want to eat it then bring it. If you want to drink it then bring it!
I would suggest water plus a hot drink and some snacks.
