WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES

For many people going for their Mountain Leader assessment, this is one of the most daunting aspects of the syllabus. On this workshop we'll aim to simplify ropework for the Mountain Leader, and will delve into decision-making scenarios for those working on steep mountain-walking terrain. Many people find this workshop the ideal preparation for their assessment, and we also often get qualified Mountain Leaders coming along too so that they can refresh these skills.

We will cover exactly what ropework your assessor will hope to see from you on your assessment. No extras thrown in which might confuse you on your assessment.

Mountain Leader personal kit, plus rope and helmet. OS Explorer OL5 and a compass.

Graham Uney is an experience provider of the Mountain Leader training and assessment. He's an MCI and WML, and has worked as a Mountain Leader since 1996. Sharon Kennedy is ML and RCI and is an experienced staff member on ML
