I formed Bryn Walking in November 2017 and Bryn Walking for Women in June 2020. I now manage both these companies through Menhinick Outdoors Limited established October2021.
In 2021 I was approved by Mountain Training to deliver Hill Skills & Mountain Skills course which will primarily be delivered in the Cambrian Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia.
My core business activities are to provide hill and mountain guided walks and navigation training through the National Navigation Award Scheme for Bronze, Silver and Gold Navigator Awards. My main areas of operation are the Cambrian Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
This year I completed my Mountain Leader Award and am keen to share my new skills with women who are seeking courses for women which are run by women. I feel this is a growing area where I can attract more women to mountain training courses. This includes women in ethnic and minority groups.
Bryn Walking for Women has over 200 members on Facebook with numbers growing all the time and interest is increasing for women only course participation - 75% of my clients to-date have been women.
