My intention was to get up to Scotland early in the 2020/21 winter season to get my last WQMD's but obviously with the current situation, that has been a little hindered. Speaking to a provider, I was advised to try and get the rest of my days in Lakes/Wales if possible to eat me over the line. It's definitely harder to get the same level as days south of the border but I'm still using the time constructively, focusing on being efficient and getting used to observing the snow as I move. I'm already fairly competent with nav and feel comfortable walking in crampons through difficult terrain.
