Working for Schools Worldwide in the High Atlas Morocco. The ascent of Toubkal (4167 metres) is a 3 to 4 hour climb up a well-trodden track, which can be a little loose at times. Your guide will carry some snacks to be eaten on the top, so there is no rush and you can linger a short while on the top of this, north Africa`s highest, mountain (and the 356th highest mountain in the world!). If the air is clear you will have fine views towards the Sahara. You descend via the same route to the refuge for lunch, after which you retrace your steps down the wide mule trail back to Aremd.`gite d`etape`
