St.845395 to Llyn Arenig Fawr over dam and up spur to Y Castell to spot height (684) carry on to summit of Arenig Fawr (854). At summit head down by following fence past Craig Y Hyrddod all the way to valley. Pick up path and follow to road all the way back to start point
