Ben Lomond (974m) and Ben More (1174m) sit on opposite sides of this area which stretches from Loch Lomond to the western end of Loch Earn. There are two distinct sections, to the north and south of Glen Voil, with the remaining peaks sitting to the south of Loch Katrine. Access to the majority of the hills in this area is commonly from Crianlarich, Aberfoyle or Callander.
Hillwalking trip with a group of young people from local youth group. Have been out with them previously when they`ve made good steady progress round the hills, but they were quite slow and `faffy` today, making it a longer trip than expected. We had planned to extend the walk over Beinn a Chroin if time allowed, but the slow pace over the first top led us to shorten the day.
