Ben Lomond (974m) and Ben More (1174m) sit on opposite sides of this area which stretches from Loch Lomond to the western end of Loch Earn. There are two distinct sections, to the north and south of Glen Voil, with the remaining peaks sitting to the south of Loch Katrine. Access to the majority of the hills in this area is commonly from Crianlarich, Aberfoyle or Callander.
Supporting torchlit walk up Ben Lomond in aid of funds for NTS path maintenance and LMRT, who were providing safety cover for the event. Set off at 6pm, with a group of around 40 participants, subdivided into smaller groups. Reached summit around 9pm, then descended back to youth hostel for some food. Very atmospheric, although several participants quite slow once darkness fell.
