Linear walk from Beckermonds, Langstrothdale up onto Eller Carr Moss before descending through Eller Carr and Great Pasture into Halton Gill. Met two groups of DofE before return via track initially running close to Halton Gill Beck before reaching Horse Head, time to go to trig point, before descending NNW besides Hagg Beck to reach Raisgill. Left to Yockenthwaite and then Dales Way down the valley first to Hubberholme and then into Buckden and the end of the walk. Group of 2. 13 kms in 5.5 hours. Some heavier showers in the earlier part of the walk over to Halton Gill and whilst in the valley but then sunny and warm for return.

Most of the larger southern dales (e.g. Ribblesdale, Malhamdale and Airedale, Wharfedale and Nidderdale) run roughly parallel from north to south. Includes the Three Peaks, Malham and Langstrothdale/Wharfdale.
