Cloud base above 3200ft, strong winds, deep snow, 8ft drifts. Greenside Mines, Sticks Pass, Raise, White Side, Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike, Dollywaggon Pike, Grisedale, Glenridding, Greenside Mines. Roads into Ullswater valley impassable. Day off, couldn’t get to path repair site. Had a close call at Sticks Pass, cut across boggy area covered by snow. Went up to my waist, had to lie down and spread out to get out. Wasn’t too wet so I carried on. Also lost my compass, came out Velcro bottom of map case.
