Description

Headed up through the Quarry from Coniston to the summit of The Old Man of Coniston. Snow from the Zig zag on the summit ascent from the Quarry. Follwed the ridge all the way round to Swirl How and descended down to Levers water. weather was overcast with strong winds on the tops. Snow and ice starting to thaw with a rise in temps. Ice axe and crampons still needed.

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

From the Esk Valley all the way across to Kendal and the M6. Includes Coniston area as far north as Little Langdale, Wrynose and Hardknott Pass.
