Description

Parked at Allt na reigh and ascended onto Am Bodach (943 metres) along the chancellor to Meall Dearg (953 metres) and along the Aonach Eagach ridge taking in Stob Coire Leith and Sgorr Nam Fiannaidh (967 metres) before dropping down the Glachaig Gully to the road and walked back along the A82 back to car. 50 mph winds and blowing clag at the start of the walk but sun soon burned it away to leave a sunny blue sky day. (Best mountain day so far)

Area : Glencoe North (Loch Leven To Rannoch Station)

This area covers the northern side of Glen Coe and the mountains north of Rannoch Moor. Notable features include the Pap of Glencoe, the Aonach Eagach ridge (home to a few kilometres of horizontal scrambling) and the remote peak of Stob na Cruiache which is generally accessed from the train station to the east. Includes all major peaks above 600m.
