Description

Walked from Beddgelert side along the watkin path, took a footpath marked on the map that passed Yr Aran to the right, walked up yr Aran from Bwlch cwm Llan. Descended Aran and continued west along the path through the old quarries eventually joining up with the Rhydd Ddu path and finishing in the village.

It is located in Snowdonia National Park (Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri) in Gwynedd, and has been described as "the busiest mountain in Britain". It is designated as a national nature reserve for its rare flora and fauna.
