The Glasgow South and Ayrshire area offers climbing both on quarried dolerite at Neilston, and also on the natural crags of The Quadrocks and Loudoun Hill. The sandstone cliffs of the Mauchline Gorge have a certain esoteric charm, but they are not for the faint hearted!
Supervising 2 novice climbers (one hadn't climbed before). Finished the session by converting top rope to abseil with safety line and allowing them to descend to the base of the crag.
