Description

Hill day with a group from SiMY - the majority of the young people have been out with me several times before. Good day out - some of them found the strong winds at the summit a bit unnerving, but we had 2 additional experienced members of staff along to support 5 young people, so there was plenty of guidance and reassurance on offer for anyone who needed it. Other than the wind on top, conditions were excellent - very warm lower down.

Area : Strathyre to Strathallan (Ben Vorlich)

This area includes the eastern edge of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and the Glen Artney Hills. Ben Vorlich (985m) and Stuc a’ Chroin (975m) are the only two Munros in the area which covers the land between Loch Earn (to the north) and the town of Callander (to the south). Access is typically from the A84 or A85.
