Description

Start from Ogwen Cottage and walk up to Llyn Idwal. From there follow the spur up to the summit of Y Garn. Continue down to Devils Kitchen and around Llyn Idwal back to the start point. At the summit carried out some poor visibility navigation.

The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
