Y Gribin (1) to summit Y Glyder Fawr as part of summer supervision QMD on 17/07/14 - Took track from football pitch to join ridgeline closer to summit plateau but careful spotting still required in places. Cloud cover just above football pitch made navigation tricky and some wet rocks required care. Limitied visibility, sunny and warm when out of the clouds!

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
