Description

13.7km, 720m. 10.45-15.45. Cwm Pennant, Berwyn Range, Mid Wales.
Blaen-y-dre-isaf (end of road south of Llandrillo), Trum y Wern, Moel Pearce, Cadair Bronwen, Cadair Berwyn, permitted path down Foel Fawr to sheep dip and back.
A shortish walk on New Years Eve, in moderate to strong winds. On Cadair Berwyn, the weather closed in for a second time bringing with it sleet and snow. A quick retreat to stop two Labradors (Sapphire and Barra) getting too cold. Need to get them some coats to wear in such conditions.

Area : Berwyn Range

The Berwyn range (Welsh: Y Berwyn or Mynydd y Berwyn) is an isolated and sparsely populated area of moorland located in the north-east of Wales, roughly bounded by Llangollen in the north-east, Corwen in the north-west, Bala in the south-west, and Oswestry in the south-east.
