Description

Horse Shoe Route from Ogwen Cottage to Devils Kitchen around Lllyn Idwal. From there up to the summit of Glyder Fawr where it became whiteout conditions with 70+mph winds making navigating a hard test. Once gaining the saddle between Fawr and Fach the cloud lifted and gained more visibility. I was with a less competent other so we skirted around the rock castle of the summit of Fach to Llyn Caseg Fraith then down the Miners Track to the south col of Tryfan. From there we descended to Llyn Bochlwyd then down to the car on the lay by on the A5.
Weather was heavy snow then once in the cloud whiteout conditions with spin drift flying fast enough to cut your face (Which it did).
Goggles were on near the top of Devils kitchen due to the spindrift and crampons and axe were out in force just after.
