Description

Ascent along the north shore of Loch Muick to Glas alt Sheil. Then up Glas Alt past the waterfall to Cac Cairn Mor and onto the summit. return via the corrie rim to the col below Meikle Pap and the stalkers track to Loch Muick. Good snow and mostly decent weather until the summit when heavy snow showers with strong winds set in.

Area : Braemar to Montrose (Lochnagar)

Listed in the SMC Munros Guide as ‘The East Mounth: Glen Shee to Mount Keen’, this area includes all of the peaks to the south and east of the A93. Still part of the Cairngorms National Park, these mountains are home to the north facing crags on Lochnagar (1155m) and the most easterly Munro, Mount Keen (939m).
