Very challenging navigation in the quarries due to limited horizon and highly complex terrain not well represented on the map. A couple of times I was in the right X and Y but the wrong Z. Great dead-reckoning and correction practise, with occasional fixes on emerging to the rims or finding specific cuts. Forced me to use outcrop and embankment markings instead of contours, so a useful exercise.
