This was a three day trip with my girlfriend for some walking in the Yorkshire Dales - an area we hadn't been to before. It was ther school holidays and so we wanted to get away for a few days between Christmas and the New Year. The weather in the area before this trip had been pretty bad with some heavy rain so the summits were a bit wet.
Route started from Hawes and headed south through farmland and climbed up towards Wether Fell and then headed SW to pick up the roman road which we followed to the road. Headed along road briefly before heading W up to the sumit of Dodd Fell Hill - used compass/bearings find the summit and trig point. Wasn't too wet for most of the route, except a bit of a lake around the trig point. Continued NW and dropped down to pick up the Pennine Way footpath which we followed back to Hawes
