An evening walk that I had pre-planned to be a night navigation training session. However as only one person turned up for it we went out earlier and practised night navigation techniques in daylight - getting the client to use bearings and pacings on each leg of the walk, and utilising techniques such as aiming off, hand railing and dead reckoning by using the immediate history of the leg just walked. I added in some geocaching at the end of the walk which went really well - it split the walk back to base up, and was really fun trying to find some of the caches.
