Description

Walk up was fine. Took main path via Low Water. Whizzed across to Brim Fell. Down with 3 companions met at top of Old Man. One of them twisted knee and could not put weight on it so I called MR and Coniston team came up and stretchered her off. They were brilliant and prevented patient from getting hypothermia, ambulance was waiting when we got off the hill.

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

The Southern Fells Include Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, occupy a broad area to the south of Great Langdale, Borrowdale and Wasdale. High and rocky towards the centre of the Lake District, the Southern Fells progressively take on a moorland character toward the south west. In the south east are the well known Furness Fells, their heavily quarried flanks rising above Coniston Water.
