Description

This was an event I organised for my Meetup group, and 11 of us went. After reaching the summit of the first Munro, Carn Liath, I hung back a bit, to walk with a slower walker who didn't feel confident. One man decided to go back shortly afterwards, as he said his fitness wasn't up to the walk. This wasn't because we were going too fast - he was actually quite far ahead of me and the slower walker at this point. A group of faster walkers didn't wait for us at the second summit - they explained later that they didn't realise it was the second summit. The rest of us stopped to have lunch at the second summit. When we caught up with the faster walkers at the third summit, they explained what had happened, and we were all in good spirits. There was a lot of low cloud at the third summit, but it wasn't difficult to find the correct route back. We all walked back as a group, stopping for tea and having a lot of good banter. After the walk most of us enjoyed refreshments at the Blair Atholl Arms. I hadn't done this walk before, but it went well and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
