Set off from Imlil I started the ascent to the CAF refuge Hut , the sun was hot during the the middle of the day. Crampons were needed from about i mile before the refuge.
Spent the night at the refuge and started off at 6am the next morning for the summit.
Even though I was walking myself, there was a steady stream of hikers with guides on the mountain and four hours later I made the summit. Views were fantastic. Hitting the 4000 metre marked the point where walking became much more difficult due to tiredness and altitude.
After spending 20 mins at top, stared the long (16 km) hike back down to Imlil .
