Description

9.3km + 180m. Cow Green Reservoir, Teesdale.
Very strong winds, not a day for the hills so Jan, Ian, Nicky and I (with the dogs) went fro the car park (GR810309) at Cow Green Reservoir, round to Cauldrom Snout and picked up the Pennine Way towards the pub at Langdon Beck. I cut back over the moor so we all didn't have to slog back up the reservoir road back to the cars. The patterns the waves made coming over Cow Green Dam were stunning.

Area : Northern Pennines

Between the A69 and the A66. The region is widely considered to be one of the most scenic areas of the United Kingdom. The North Pennines and Nidderdale are designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
