
Went with a friend who has climbed previously but only top roped and bouldered. Has recently (18 months) sustained ACL injury so started slowly and warmed up on top rope climbs. Pre lead training went and use ground level to show how to clip, how to not clip, how to belay and how to finish at the top. Was good experience. I suggested we use auto belays before leading without and started on 4a's and 5 before trying the 5+'s and 6's etc. Was good fun and both of us enjoyed the routes. Understood the difference between leading and top roping and would try again when back from annual leave.
