Day ski tour - left from Cairngorm ski centre car park, following approximate line of funicular to Ptarmigan restaurant, then up towards summit of Cairngorm. There was lots of new snow, but the strong wind had created a considerable amount of sastrugi over the plateau, which made for difficult skiing. We had a look into Ciste Mhearad, but the strong gusty wind encouraged us to head back towards Coire Cas and a descent offpiste to skiers right of the White Lady.
