This area is situated on the north-western tip of Scotland and contains 4 Munros (from biggest to smallest); Ben More Assynt (998m), Conival (987m), Ben Klibreck (962m) and Ben Hope (927m). Also included in the mountains list are all of the peaks above 700m. The southern boundary is the road which joins Ullapool to Lairg and then to the A9.
Camped in the valley prior to commencement of the walk. Weather was mixed with average visibility at the lower levels and fog and strong winds closer to the top of the munro. After leaving the cairn to return I got temporarily displaced in the fog. I relocated myself back to the cairn and took a bearing to the nearest feature and made my way down and camped at the valley.
