Womens trad fest,
2 clients wanting to improve thier leading, both have lead a little but mainly sport.
Day 1
lead the clients up Heaven crack and louisiana rib, to assess movement and gear removal, bot clients demostrated very skilled footwork and body positioning,
we progressed over to do some sequence leading on dover wall area completing two more leads looking at positive gear placement 1 climber showed more competency wit gear place ment thna the other so over break I got the less confident to place some gear ready for learning anchors.
when it came to anchor both set up in reach multipitch anchors so we looked at how to work with the anchors out of reach.
due to limited time at a busy crag the girls wanted one last climb on second so we finished with heather wall.
one of the harder challanges of the day was the increase of traffic at stanage which we kept out of the way of mostly but easier climbs were busier.
dover wall worked perfect for sequence leading with perfect view of geat placements and a simple change over of anchors.
would have liked to have gotten a extra series lead in but time was limited
Area :
Peak District Grit: Stanage Edge
Simply the finest crag on grit with well over 1000 routes of all grades and styles. The most popular of climbing areas in the UK with a huge number of classic routes. We have split the area into the same divisions as used for UKC logbooks, namely Stanage Popular, Stanage Plantation and Stanage North. Bouldering activities should be entered into the 'Outdoor Bouldering' section of DLOG. Routes on other gritstone crags, such as Burbage North, should be added to the relevant Area as noted in the Area titles.
