Making the most of a brief summer spell of weather during my season snowboarding in the french alps, I went running on some trails in the forest, i had micro crampons for some of the steeper ups and downs , it was glorious fun and a very welcome break from snowboarding. Snow shoes would have been more useful in parts as my legs post holed the snow on some of the more open areas where it was deeper.
