Description

Mount Battock is a Corbett, though I can't see it listed on DLOG. It's not the most attractive mountain, ribboned with paths for grouse shooting access, though there were lots of golden plovers about, which made the walk more interesting. I had to be back in Glasgow in the afternoon, so I went up and down quite quickly.

Area : Braemar to Montrose (Lochnagar)

Listed in the SMC Munros Guide as ‘The East Mounth: Glen Shee to Mount Keen’, this area includes all of the peaks to the south and east of the A93. Still part of the Cairngorms National Park, these mountains are home to the north facing crags on Lochnagar (1155m) and the most easterly Munro, Mount Keen (939m).
