Description

Hill walk to work on hill fitness following my severe ankle injury. Still have pain when walking for a longer period especially when carrying a heavy pack . Weather was changeable, started off partially cloudy and changed throughout the walk to very windy and overcast. Seen a snow hare near the highest point of the walk.

Area : Braemar to Montrose (Lochnagar)

Listed in the SMC Munros Guide as ‘The East Mounth: Glen Shee to Mount Keen’, this area includes all of the peaks to the south and east of the A93. Still part of the Cairngorms National Park, these mountains are home to the north facing crags on Lochnagar (1155m) and the most easterly Munro, Mount Keen (939m).
