Description

Another great day out in the North West!
Big walk in to Beinn Eighe, had a good look around the wreckage down in the bottom of the corrie on the way. We aimed for West Buttress, had the corrie more or less to ourselves, think there was a team on Piggot's today as well and maybe East Buttress but otherwise quite quiet.
West Buttress - Opted for the West Central Start. Soloed up the initial pitches up to the cave. Then pitched the rest of the route. Think Caspar started the pitching. Ended up getting the crux steepening which was wicked fun, great steep climbing with great protection.
Descended down Fuselage Gully, propeller was sticking out nice and far. Little bit of a glissade for sections then long walk out back round Beinn Eighe.

Area : Northern Highlands South (winter)

Extending from Torridon in the north to Knoydart in the south, and including Glen Shiel, Glen Carron and Applecross, Northern Highlands South includes many brilliant winter climbs of all grades and styles. The quartzite cliffs of Beinn Eighe and the corries of Bheinn Bhan have become forcing grounds for modern mixed climbing, while Liathach nearby offers many fine, steep, traditional ice climbs. New winter climbing possibilities are being discovered on the mountains throughout this area on an annual basis.
