Description

A Rockhopper MC trip to Cwm Eigiau Cottage. From Clogwyneryn we followed the path to Craig Eigiau before breaking off snowfields to the shelter on Foel Grach. We had lunch there and we put on crampons we we knew they would be required for the summit. We continued to Carnedd Llewellyn with increasing winds, returning the the hut via Ffynnon Lyffant and the pathless upper Cwm Eigiau .
The following day the rest of the group left early as they were worried at their car parked down the valley which was in danger of being snowed in. I had come up by train on the 16th and had to stay until 19th. I spent the time moving sacks of coal up to the hut from where they had been abandoned during the beast from the East.
