An early start from the campsite at Hope took me over Win Hill, and up Bleaklow via Alport Castles and The Ridge. From Bleaklow Head I followed the Pennine Way over Kinder continuing along Rushup Edge, over mam Tor and Lose Hill back to Hope.

Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
