A true blue bird day! Start from the NT for Scotland car park and climbed easy slopes up to the ridge leading to the small top at 923m. A short decent here before climbing a steepish snow fiel up to the summit of Meall nan Tarmachan (1044m). My plan had been to carry on the ridge to Coire Fionn-Lairige but the Coronavirus was starting to hit and I decided it was time to head home! So a quick descent the way I had come up and was leaving the most perfect conditions behind. Great snow with just a little layer of slab (2cm) higher up to make the descent off the summit fun.
Area :
Glen Lyon to Glen Dochart & Loch Tay (Ben Lawers)
This area covers the peaks to the north and east of Crianlarich. Glen Lyon forms the northern boundary while the road from Crianlarich to Aberfeldy is the southern boundary. The Ben Lawers group in the east of this area includes seven separate peaks, all Munros, which are part of an impressive 12km ridge line. The western side of this area is generally lower and not as steep but does still home some a number of Munros. All major peaks above 600m are included in the mountains list. The area to the north is Loch Rannoch to Glen Lyon.
