
50mph winds sw, heavy rain at times poor vis in heaviest of down pours. Parked at panicles cafe car park at the rear of joe Browns. Followed the road up to the farm where we turned left and went off track navigating to 460 spot height Cefn y Capel then Avoiding any obvious tracks navigated to Y Foel Goch. Then returned back to car park short walk but well worth getting out in these conditions.

The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
