We followed some of the Serpent Trail, a 64 mile trail from Haslemere to Petersfield. The trail passes through internationally rare lowland heath habitat of the South Downs.
Weather, dry, partially cloudy with periods of sun, mid single figures, light breeze.
Conditions underfoot were incredibly muddy.
