Description

Day 3 of an International Mountain Leader Summer Training course. Mountain day up around Y Garn, looking at leadership, steep ground & environmental aspects. From Idwal Cottage, followed path to Devil's Kitchen. Followed the Sheep Track (1) to the shoulder of Y Garn. Continued to the summit of Y Garn, and journeyed via it's East ridge to descend back to Llyn Idwal

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
