Description

Great conditions. Ali led P1 and I led P2. Not much gear at the top so used, both axes, an ice thread and a half in screw as a belay. Climbed in ski boots. Horrible ski out into the wind!

Area : The Grey Corries to the Drumochter Hills

Winter climbing opportunities are scattered rather widely in the central highlands area to the west of Ben Nevis and south of the A86 but there's plenty of good climbs for the adventurous. This area includes the Grey Corries (notably Stob Coire an Laoigh), the Loch Treig and Ben Alder hills, Binnein Shuas and the ice climbs of Geal-charn (Drumochter).
