Description

Full day session with one young adult. Covered setting up top ropes, top belaying and lead climbing. Very cold to start with but then the sun came out. Had to adjust the session due to student thinking he had forgotten his harness. This was eventually found in the depths of his rucksack.

Area : Peak Limestone

This area covers Stoney Middleton, Chee Dale, the Matlock crags, Beeston and Dovedale. The easy routes that are any good are polished to a glassy sheen, but still worth doing. The hard routes are hard and any in situ gear is sporting. Recent development has centred on disused quarries like Horseshoe Quarry and Masson Lees.
